A good idea! :-)

For those not all ready aware, something like this has been happening daily on IGS for a while. Many pros on IGS, ranging from 6p to 9p (and a few title holders) have been playing amateurs. Until recently, most of the players were pros playing high rated amateur plays. However, recently the pros have been playing kyu players, but usually above 6k. Some pros on IGS have been playing 10 - 20 amateurs daily, while others will play a few. I have not formally announced this previously because it is not a formal event on IGS. Sometimes the pros will play using a 4d - 6d* account, and sometimes NR. :-)
Yesterday, there were about 32 game pro vs amateurs, with amateurs ranging from 6k - 4d*, and about 50 pro vs pro games.

This year a formal program on IGS involving pros teaching amateurs has started, but this is for Panda Net subscribers.
